POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you are accountable for evaluating, qualifying and selecting suppliers for the external purchase and licensing of assigned direct material categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, execute and implement supplier selections and negotiations in line with category strategies and FTC Solar sourcing processes supporting a fast-paced business
  • Work closely with stakeholders, Legal, and IT functions to negotiate and manage commercial contracts
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking Engage in supplier management activities with focus on performance improvement and supplier development
  • Lead cross-functional Sourcing projects and programs for assigned categories

Qualifications

  • Sourcing Expertise, Process & Strategy Knowledge
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Price discovery and assessment
  • Commercial and Financial Acumen & Skills
  • Understanding of Procurement Processes and Category Management
  • Consistent record of working with cross functional groups within a multinational environment
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to connect with senior executives
  • Education: BS in Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or other Business degree
  • Good knowledge of FTC Solar product portfolio and R&D activities
