POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Operations Manager to lead FTC Solar’s sales operations activities including Salesforce CRM platform management, sales training activities, proposal template management, partner screening activities, sales team performance management, and data analytics and reporting. In addition, you will be directly involved in field sales activity tracking through dashboards as well as implementing new productivity tools in Salesforce.

We are looking for someone who has deep understanding of the dynamics of complex projects, who understands the solar universe well, and who can strategize effectively to stay several steps ahead of likely problems. You will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team bringing essential solar technology to projects both in the US and around the world. You lead by example and demonstrate professionalism and integrity in the work that you do. You know the right questions to ask, get clarity, prioritize, and then execute.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and close gaps in the sales process to drive efficiency through automation
  • Manage the FTC Solar Salesforce implementation and provide ongoing training to the global team
  • Mange the contract automation process, connecting it with DocuSign and CPQ processes for sales team
  • Track global teams progress through the establishment of dashboads tracking regional KPIs
  • Support Regional Sales Directors as needed to build the FTC Solar brand globally
  • Periodically meet with senior leadership to review dashboard metrics
  • Stay up to date on new CRM tools and data bases
  • Run quarterly and ongoing sales training sessions for global team
  • Drive behaviors to maintain data integrity to ensure accurate insights, positively impacting sales leadership’s ability to adjust strategy and tactics
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to develop training to help peers, partners and users become more effective in their use of the tools
  • Improve operational efficiencies through a combination of process, technology, and automation to drive sales productivity and insight
  • Champion our Sales Team and work closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Marketing, Sales Operations, and IT, in driving scalability and efficiency into our sales processes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience solving technical business problems
  • Direct experience in managing and driving value from sales technologies
  • Must possess business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skill
  • Demonstrated appetite to drive growth of the division and have a hunter mindset
  • Proactive and passionate independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources and delivering results in challenging situations
  • Professional sales personality alongside strong customer and negotiation skills
  • Passion for growing business in the renewable energy space
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Creative and able to problem solve in a highly dynamic environment
  • Strong writing skills
  • Organizational skills and a desire to establish and improve corporate processes
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
